Great place for a family outing

Rockville, MD is a great place to raise a family and the civic center park is another great example of why. Another free activity that is family oriented and your kids will enjoy.

I am a member of the rockville art leuge and we use this space a few times a year. It's a historic feeling mansion. It has about eight rooms of various sizes upstairs and fewer larger rooms on the main. It's always clean and there's plenty of parking. I've seen weddings here too. The outside fields are vast and sprawling.... More

This beautiful mansion is maintained in a spotlessly clean condition in every season of the year. The grand park with its well kept rolling lawns is breathtaking. Tall, old georgeous shade trees dot the expansive landscape. The staff are both friendly and efficient and will help you to make any reservation for your civic club or family event. The staff... There is so much to do. With children you can begin at the playground, and then head to the nature center

I came by for a conference meeting, but was really wowed by the atmosphere. The mansion was gorgeous and decorated in such lovely, historic way. I drove back the next day to show my mother and we found that a wedding was taking place out front. With the trees in bloom for springtime, what a lovely place to celebrate an... More

It's very well maintained, beautiful grounds; easy free parking; sledding on the grounds when it snows in the winter. My brother and sister-in-law had their wedding reception there and it was charming!

A couple of friends and me drove to this park on a Sunday evening.. there were hardly any people; it was so peaceful.. We did a bit of running around, a small hike (there are some tiny streams around), spotted a couple of deer and just chilled out.. The place makes for lovely snaps too! Do not forget to carry... The beautifully restored Glenview Mansion has art exhibits, a recital room, and is rented for weddings. The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater is home to Victorian Lyric Opera (Gilbert & Sullivan and more), Rockville Musical Theater, Rockville Concert Band, and much more. The spacious grounds have outdoor concerts and children's events in the summer. There's a playground, climbing wall, sculpture, and... More
