We visited on a warm December day and enjoyed walking the trails, particularly around the pond. I write a nature based blog for families and this location fits perfectly for one of my posts. The one thing I didn't like was that the numbered boxes along the trail were filled with trash. I'm not sure what they are supposed to... More

Beautiful historical park with many great hiking trails. Good for families or dog walkers. Bathroom facilities on site.

We are very fortunate to live by this gem. I particularly like the history trail. The house offers tours. There are are wonderful nature camps for kids in summer, too.

The Pemberton Wine Festival in an annual event that I have missed for the past five years I have lived on Eastern Shore. It is a local, regional, and for some a national event. Unexpected treasure of ambience, relaxed, country and sophisticated mix of people, wine, food, music, crafts, community, social causes, games and terrain. I loved it. the regulars... More

Pemberton is in a nice place to take a walk or run on trails. Very picturesque with forested areas along the Wicomico River with trails intertwined on the property. Plus the historic plantation house (which is only open during certain times). It's also a nice place for a photo op. No playground for smaller kids though, so not always friendly... More

As a previous history major in college I was thrilled to find out that Salisbury had a place with this much history behind it. The walking trails were amazing. Good place to exercise and be one with nature.

A private foundation of dedicated volunteers, working for over 40 years, saved the house and some acreage for today. Within a County park, Pemberton stands as witness to the earliest settlers of the Eastern Shore. Interior House tours available.

One of the few good places Salisbury has to offer (& there aren't that many), so enjoy it. Nice trail not too off the road but feels quite remote. There are always people in the trail as well, so it always feels safe. Having said that, people walking alone seems to bring their dogs.
