Learn to paddle board!

As a last minute decision a friend and I went paddle boarding with SUP Annapolis. It was such a fun experience! We came directly from BWI airport, a short drive. There were clean restrooms to change in and the parking lot was close to the water. Our instructor, Luke, was polite, capable, and patient with us. We were briefed on how to paddle board and then helped into the water. We were able to paddle around the marina and then taken out into another nearby creek. It was very pretty, the weather was was and the water felt great. I'd definitely recommend it: great experience at a great rate!

Awesome way to spend a day!

I'd been hearing awesome things about stand up paddle boarding so I decided it was finally time to try it. My best friend, mom, and I found SUP Annapolis and signed up for a two hour lesson. The place where you start from is a little off the beaten path but it was easy enough to find. Josiah was our guide for the day and he was awesome. He made sure we all felt comfortable with our boards and paddles before we started on our way. The river SUP Annapolis uses is PERFECT for new paddle boarders. There is a limited amount of boat traffic and it was relatively flat. For the two hour lesson Josiah took us for an hour trip down the river and then an hour back and we ended attempting to do yoga on the boards (I say attempting because I failed miserably!).

I highly recommend a lesson if you've never done SUP before. If you've got experience with SUP I recommend a 4 hour rental, throw lunch on the front of your board and go out an enjoy the scenery! Never had trouble getting a reservation and the SUP Annapolis guys are super friendly and flexible.

A great outdoor activity for any weekend!
