Overview
More
Paddle gently in one of our Old Town canoes or kayaks through shady caverns of foliage. Novice or experienced paddlers will find the flat water Pocomoke River a delight! See the sun-dappled surface glisten as you paddle past fallen logs, clusters of pink or white blossomed water lilies, or the exposed "knees" of the bald cypress. The Pocomoke River corridor is home to the northernmost reaches of the cypress, and provides a selection of various wildlife species that are usually found only in more southern regions.

The Pocomoke River & Nassawango Creek are isolated gems if you're looking for something different away from crowded beaches. Beautifully remote, peaceful trip in unique waters. Tree-lined however not tree-covered, so wouldn't recommend it in the heat of the day. No current, so do expect...More

The nice folks at Pocomoke River offer a laid-back wealth of knowledge about local canoe trips. They'll rent canoes and/or kayaks plus will transport your own boat as well. I particularly recommend the Red House Road paddle on the Nassawango, but the Porter's Crossing run...More

We had a beautiful trip down the Pocomoke on a gorgeous October day. This is a great 1/2 day trip from Ocean City, MD. We saw tons of wildlife, especially turtles.

Canoed out to "Goat Island", (ask cashier about it) and paddled across at least hundreds of Lilly pads in the water. Great time!

A large group of cyclinsts started here on a round trip ride to Berlin. The shop is a very cool spot, and their inventory of equipment was impressive. Beautiful spot.

The staff did everything to provide us with a splendid experience. Some outfitters will rent you kayaks that have seen better days; not so the Pocomoke River Canoe Company - their gear is excellent. The Pocomoke River is absolutely beautiful and sublimely peaceful. I highly...More

Don't miss the opportunity to paddle the upper reaches of the Pocomoke River. A short, easy paddle through cypress swamp. Wildlife abounds, great for bird watchers. Loved it!
