This Discovery center has live eagles, owls, and red tail hawks to view and learn interesting facts. This is an educational site for persons of all ages especially designed for the young to explore hands on learning. Stop and spend an hour.
It's not a very big place but we were just looking for something to do to kill a little time before dinner. The kids really enjoyed it! They got to see butterflies, turtles, snakes, eagles and other nature things.

The development of Deep Creek Lake is explained on picture boards at the center. There are programs about nature and start telling time. Check the web site for a listing. You can come by boat or car. A beautiful natural setting.
