We went to Brookside Gardens to attend a wedding. The grounds were very nice and there were a lot of Spring flowers in bloom. The room where the wedding was held was nice and overlooked the grounds. The cocktail hour was held on the patio and was adorned with lights. The reception was held in a tent on the grounds.

It's amazing that this place doesn't charge admission! Great to walk around or stay put & relax on one of the many benches We were here when it was mostly tulips outside but if you come at different times in spring & summer you will see many flower varieties outside Their greenhouse is also worth a visit Kid and stroller-friendly... Great to visit early in the morning before it gets crowded. We were here a little after sunrise. So serene and peaceful. And the new parking lot looks great.

A glorious place to walk, whether fast or slow, uphill or level, around ponds and through rockeries... choose from different paths and rest on benches and rocks strewn around the way. Ample parking. Free admittance (at least when I went). There are some hiking paths accessible from the third parking lot. The second parking lot holds the greenhouse. The first... More

Brookside Gardens is a gem, well worth a visit or many visits if you live in the DC area or are visiting and enjoy gardens and being outside. Spring is great with bulbs coming into bloom, summer roses, graceful walking paths, and a butterfly exhibit in the summer (a small fee for that but otherwise it's free). There's much more... More

A huge renovation of Brookside Garden was recently completed. BG is beautiful and peaceful even in winter--you can always walk through the green house and see flowers in bloom. Nature center for the younger crowd. Has some spaced benches for a quick rest. Heart healthy path with tenth of a mile markers. Outstanding at Christmas as they have many lights... More

Montgomery County has a jewel in Brookside Gardens. Spring is a glorious blaze of color as the gardens erupt into bloom, in a show that changes weekly. Summer brings a verdant landscape for walking pathways, admiring scenic details or rolling your kids down the hills. There are always flowering shrubs even in the heat of the summer season (when your... More

Great to visit in any weather. The indoor garden gives you a tropical feel during winter. Great location since it is just beside Wheaton Regional Park. It is free for anyone to visit. Donations are also accepted for maintenance. They only charge for the "wings of fancy" and "garden lights" if you want to check that out. From what I... More
