There is no fee to tour this lighthouse. It is operated by the Coast Guard, and there is a station next to the lighthouse. The guides are volunteers, and very informative. We were given lots of information about the lighthouses on Cape Cod. This lighthouse...More

We stopped in on our trip to see this as how can you pass on a lighthouse on a beach. Great little history tour and beautiful structure.

While visiting the beach at sundown by the lighthouse, listened to Taps played as they lowered the flag. Were proud to look up at the street by the lighthouse to see people stop and pay respect as the flag came down.

The weather was so bad we could hardly see the lighthouse itself just the beam shining from the top. The location is wonderful and obviously all the TV crews and cameras thought so too as they were all parked opposite filming!

We were sad that the lighthouse is fenced off so we couldn't get close enough to feel as though we "experienced" it. There was a memorial beside it dedicated to unknown sailors who lost their lives in the shipwrecks off the coast of Chatham and...More

Visited recently on a brisk fall day. The walk all the way out to the end of the spit is beautiful. We saw seals poking their heads up periodically to check us out and the scenery is spectacular.
