We spent two days researching ancestors who were early Dedham settlers. The staff couldn't have been more professional and helpful, with special thanks to archivist Sandra Waxman, who spent several hours with us.

Students/people in the pottery & handicraft business must visit the DHS. The shapes/colour of the pottery,the paintings ,the way they were framed & tagged. Here are a couple of photos of things on exhibit. Lots of Dedham Pottery, old clocks, and Paul Revere bell, Nice collection. Museum shop has reproduction Dedham Pottery for sale - all hand painted in MA.

If you love Dedham Pottery this is THE place to visit. Their collection is amazing. They also have a fascinating collection of early furniture. The visit may be short but worth the trip.
