What a gorgeous place, off the beaten path and well worth the visit! Very peaceful, meditative, thoughtfully planted Japanese-style garden with water features. Interesting trees, flowers, and other plantings. When we visited in mid-June the rhododendrons were blooming in all their glory!

We did this as part of Chappaquiddick tour with Trustees of the Reservation. There base was at the Garden. I wouldn't go to Chappy just for the Garden though it is very nice. Yes peaceful.

I love the beautiful zen garden at Mytoi. If you are looking for a serene and beautiful environment, Mytoi, is a must on Chappy Island.

Well worth the approximately 2-1/2 mile bike ride to visit this beautiful garden. There is no charge to meander through this Japanese style garden. Relatively small, not underwhelming.

Almost everytime we drive over to Chappaquiddick, we stop at Mytoi and take a stroll through the garden. Spring and fall are special times to take in the garden's changing flora

These are pretty Japanese gardens that were restored after being destroyed by Hurricane Bob a number of years ago. Very nice to walk around and sit and enjoy.

Again very well hidden - take the 3 car ferry to Chappaquiddick and continue straight when the paved road makes a sharp right bend. Proceed straight down Dike Rd. Enjoy yourself!

A nice sunset stroll through the Mytoi garden. Closed for the day so no one around except for us. Just beautiful plantings and a relaxing atmosphere. Impressive with the drought we have right now.

We saw the gardens but also took a jeep tour of the preservation area of secluded beaches, marshes and the lighthouse that we climbed. Our tour guide was a very smart Middlebury student and she gave excellent information on the history of the island and...More

What a wonderful surprise this area was. A 3 acre garden in the Japanese style donated in the 1950's by one of the Islands early benefactors and meticulously maintained today by the island conservancy. A peaceful wonderful experience not to be missed!

You can rent a bike and take the Chappell ferry over and ride bike to Mytoi. You could walk but it may be a mile or so from ferry dock

Hi Nilda - exactly what the reviewer above mentioned. Mytoi is a quick hop, skip and jump to Edgartown, so that's the place to look for places to stay.
