The river and the surrounding wetland make an excellent habitat for all types of wildlife. It is definitely worthwhile to stop and enjoy the views across the river and adjoining marshlands.

We boat here a lot. The sandbars are like having your own private island! Wildlife, fish, water temp, views, sugar sand beaches and sandbars with HUGE clams make this a favorite place to visit and bring guests to.

I don't own a kyak but it looks like an ideal place to paddle around and explore. Lots of marsh birds.

Other than the pleasant ride, there are herons galore to see, plus the vacation homes of the dead, decadent rich. One notable place is one that has been torn down to a skeleton because the neighbors complained the house spoiled their view!
