First I have to say the ships are clean and well lit. I travel with a service dog and the boat was filling up so we had to pass thru the concession stand to get to additional seating. As soon as we walked in, I was yelled at by a worker that "no dogs were allowed in here" I tried... More

Hello GVBTMOM, I believe your review is meant for a different ferry company, perhaps the Steamship Authority? We are closed for the season and only operate one vessel. Additionally, our vessel has a snack bar which is not a pass-through to additional seating. It is an enclosed snack bar. Should you travel aboard the Island Queen ferry in the future,... More

This is the only way to go over to the Island. Not only is the ferry, the parking and getting on board the most convenient, the folks on the ferry on the friendliest crew around. The second I get on the ferry and it pulls away from the dock, my stresses of the week are gone. I highly recommend the... More

The fastest and easiest way for a family to travel to the Vineyard for a fun day. The crew is very friendly and helpful. Leave the car on the Cape and take the Queen!

We are so glad that we took the ferry from Falmouth to Martha's Vineyard. We are also glad we bought our tickets a day or so before so we were able to get directly on the line for the ferry. The parking lot is about a block away from the ferry entrance, so get there early and expect a little... More

smooth ride. plenty of seating. even in rough water, the crew was concerned for our safety and the captain maneuvered the boat in a way to minimize the roughness.

First off, I have never been on a ferry that did not try to nail you on drinks and snacks. Wonder of wonders, The Island Queen has very reasonable snacks and beverages. We had a very nice ride to and from MV. The crew was super pleasant and helpful. Plus the fair is very reasonable. We were looking for a... More

This ferry was within walking distance from our hotel in Falmouth so thought we would go over to Martha Vineyard; it was $20 per adult return (cash payment) and only took around 35 minutes crossing; the day we went was very calm and sunny and was very relaxing on the boat, not sure how it would be on a rough... I've traveled the Island Queen many times in the last 23 years and have always enjoyed the short trips to and from MV. The crew is helpful and the ferry is always clean! I would not hesitate to recommend the Island Queen.

Ferry was $20pp return to Martha's Vineyard you have to pay cash or travelers cheque. Staff were efficient on what was a choppy sea crossing but still on time. Plenty seats outside or in.
