We spent last Sunday riding this path from North Falmouth to Woods Hole. It has a wide range of beautiful sections, From the cranberry bogs and wetlands in the north to the Falmouth Beach and the views of Martha's Vineyard in the south. There were few hills that got in the way, and there are a couple of locations along... More

This is a great day of pleasure with easy riding and scenic vistas of Nantucket Sound. If you want to get away from all the traffic and noise, this is the place.

The 11 mile paved bike way features clear signs, historic markers and really, some breathtaking views. The bikeway runs along an old railway bed past one of the oldest cranberry bogs in the country, former farms and delightfully close to the beach for clear views of Martha's Vineyard. It runs from a parking lot (under construction) in Woods Hole to... More

The town of Falmouth has put together a 10 1/2 mile bike path from top to bottom along an abandoned railroad track. The path is great for biking, rollerblading , running or just walking. It goes beside some cranberry bogs and other scenic venues. You do have to cross a few main roads though. There is talk of extending ot... More

Some of the most beautiful views of Vineyard Sound, lots of benches along the way and great spots to eat at the end of the trail.

The Shining Sea Bikeway is a wonderful way to see some hidden parts of Falmouth. Some sections go by the beach near Buzzards Bay, other near Vineyard Sound. It's a terrific way to avoid the busy streets and get some exercise. Just remember to say "On your left" when passing!

I try to ride every day. Great views, very popular in season and during good weather. Town takes good care of it and plows when necessary.
