We have visited here twice now and it's easily becoming one of our favorite day/road trip spots. One of the few places you can get a really good drink. Mix of locals and people staying nearby, everyone is incredibly nice and friendly.

It is full of locals who know each other. They were fun and the bartendar was great. Good size shots filled all the way to the top. My husband & I really enjoyed our visit.

Choice of quiches and various salads. All freshly made. Baguettes made to order- nothing is too much trouble. Lovely strong coffee. Well worth a try if passing- either takeaway or sit in/ outside.

We had to make the stop, grab a drink, review the movie but also make a toast to the men who lost their lives. Our bartender made quite the Bloody Mary for us!

Had to stop for a beer here after touring the Fort area. The bartender was nice and quick. The beer was cold and the other patrons were friendly. Full of character. Glad we stopped.

Of course I had to visit The Crow's Nest while I was in Gloucester! This is a regular, neighborhood type bar and the kind I like. I'm sure the regulars get tired of the tourists but everyone was polite to us.

We stayed the night here mainly because we were going on a whale watching cruise early the next morning. The accommodation was clean, functional and cheap - nothing fancy. We had a good night's sleep. As other's have mentioned, It's an authentic working man's bar....More
