I hate to say too much about Gloucester. I have been going there since I was a kid and lived there for decades. Gloucester has finally been discovered, but retains its local flavor and authenticity. The new Beauport Hotel overlooking Gloucester's outer harbor is the newest jewel in a City that is rapidly changing. Restaurants such as Short and Main... More

While driving up the east coast, this was one of my favorite spots to pass through. There were parks, statues, playgrounds, benches, picnic tables, wide sidewalks, walking trails, parking right on the side of the road, and gorgeous views of the water. Plus there was a draw bridge which was cool to watch AND some really awesome boats that were... More

Have some seafood at one of the restaurants on the water. Take a stroll along the waterfront and visit the... More

This is a beautiful place to visit. We were here back in the late 1980's, and returned again this year. Beautiful and historical place to visit. Hope to return again someday..

A massive dose of American maritime history. You can feel it all around you. Great harbor. The Gloucester fisherman memorial is inspiring. The whole town is New England personified. I grew up 45 minutes south of here and hadn't been back in 20 years. It was thrilling to be back. Great restaurants and bars close by. It is the presence... More
