Who would have thought this would be so fun and interesting We scooted in 5 minutes before the 2:00 tour and spent the next hour enjoying our guide and the history of this company If we had the kids we think they would have enjoyed it as well

We had a lot of fun on the tour and learning the connection between Cape Pond Ice and the movie The Perfect Storm. Who knew? Scott was so funny. It would have been fun if a ship had come to get ice while we were there...maybe next time. Wear a heavy sweater when you go on the tour! Next time... More

It was wonderful learned so much from the visit. Never knew making a ice cube took so much work. People were very nice and they all work so well together that is nice to see too. Filling the fishing boat was very interesting to watch. Go you will not be sorry!

Last week we brought five kids and four adults... Scott gave us a great tour with lots of stories -- and he did it while answering the phone, loading trucks, dispensing snow ice and selling t-shirts! This week we brought a different visitor and Leanna gave us her version of the tour -- she's very vivacious and it was great... More

My wife and I both enjoyed the tour and history of this working ice plant. LeeAnn, who led the tour was entertaining. This tour was on our list of things to do for a long time. We where sorry we hadn't done it sooner. Allow 45 minutes to one hour and bring a jacket or buy a sweatshirt there. One... More

This place is amazing! We had family with us and had a wonderful Tour Guide named LeAnnne! Video first to tell the history and mention about "The Perfect Storm" movie. Brought the wrong jacket with me and braved the huge freezer for a 15 minute tour. Might I mention that if you go for the tour, bring a warm enough... More

Another great day in Gloucester. Learned the history of the ice business PLUS a lot of other tidbits of the harbor. Great thing to do on a HOT day and be with the cool guys!! Great selection of stuff to buy and had all sizes.

When I told the kids back home that we'd been to an ice making tour they pondered if we were going on the paint drying tour the next day ..... Just goes to show that Kids don't know everything after all, because the Cape Pond Ice tour is fascinating from start to finish. We were lucky that both block ice... More

This was a very educational, fun, interesting place. Our host, tour guide was also the owner, Scott. He did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and really knew the history of his enterprise. Gloucester is a lovely seaport town with a lot of history and much of it surrounds this ice house establishment. It was very cold inside... More
