We had a little time to kill before leaving town, so we walked along the river. The River Walk was clean and shady, so it was a perfect break on a warm, sunny day. It was a quick walk with lovely views of the river....More

Lovely little walk along river. Two sections of about two blocks each. Some historical information panels. Would be more interesting if longer. Something the city should consider. Were looking foward to seeing this, but were somewhat disappointed.

Lovely, short walk along the river, easy to access from Main Street. Can appreciate the effort it must have taken to get town residents to approve this public walk in private backyards. Many thanks to those who agreed to share access so others could enjoy!

I visited both the lower and higher river walks. A lovely place to spend time. It was perhaps the timing, with recent riots in Charlottesville, that made the historical significance of this place (birthplace of W.E.B. DuBois, founder of Civil Rights in the US) so...More

A nice walk along the river--quiet and peaceful; beautiful! The walk is divided so that was a little confusing, but we found the other path. Very nice.

To say that this is a riverwalk is a bit of an oversell. The entire two sections of the riverwalk are perhaps a 20 minute walk total. It is beautiful, but only when looking down into the river--the longer portion is still very much at...More

We were not overly impressed with the Housatonic River Walk. The town built a short easy walking path very close to shops downtown that follow the river bank of the Housatonic River. Most the path is asphalt and wooden boardwalks. It is divided into two...More
