The caretaker of the Whittier Birthplace is an amazing storyteller, and historian. They often have special events and reenactments of the poems.

Very worthwhile visit. Puts an historical perspective on the poet and his works. An original emancipationist, his works take on new meaning in light of recent political events. We should never move backwards.
