Currently, the Cape Cod Central Railroad runs from May through October. It offers Shoreline Excursion Trains, Yankee Clipper Brunch Trains, Cape Cod Dinner Trains and various special events. Departing regularly from Hyannis, with select additional departures from Buzzards Bay, the Cape Cod Central Railroad is a popular tourist attraction. Guests depart the mid-Cape in Hyannis, travel through West Barnstable and Sandwich and down to the Cape Cod Canal. On the way, they travel through sand dunes and salt marshes, see glimpses of the bay and have the opportunity to enjoy parts of Cape Cod that are only accessible by rail.

Our award winning Elegant Dinner Train was featured among the top three dinner trains nationwide by TV Food Network's Dining on the Train. Join us for a gourmet meal as we journey through scenic Cape Cod and find out why.

I don't know that this train has anything to compare it self too. Thanksgiving train ride, yeah that sounds pretty cool. We traveled eight hours to attended their Thanksgiving day dinner ride through the Cape. Not really sure what to expect I went into it with an open mind. OK I'm lying to you I was not open-minded I expected... More

We booked the domed car of the Cape Cod Railroad's Thanksgiving dinner train and had a relaxing day. No cooking. No clean up. Not awful traffic heading down from metro west. This was the first year a domed car was offered for an extra fee but felt it was worth it. If you are a couple and do not want... More

We travelled on a rainy Saturday. The crew was organized, but we still left the station late. The line is devoid of life or noteworthy sights so the main content of the tour is a historical narration. Much of the track passing through the town goes past people’s backyards, carparks and tree lines We got a good lesson on cranberries... More

We booked our tickets earlier this year, and had hoped for a wonderful time. Here's the "skinny" Wine was good, but very very small samples. Food was wonderful, but we had to buy our own bottle of wine as you only received small sips with each course. Purchased 2 tickets at $119 each. Dome car was cramped, cold, and old... More

Took the 11:30am scenic train on a beautiful weather fall weekend - the scenery and views did not disappoint. We had first class seating so we had four chairs at a table, seats were individual and movable for comfort and viewing. Lunches available to be purchased with tickets, but also had a snack / drink car available. Platinum seating would... More

Enjoyable train ride through small towns on the Cape. Passed cranberry bogs, narration of local history provided, Fall foliage and great canal views. Food and snacks available, some need to be ordered ahead. Train rides backwards, helpful to change seats either direction to enjoy both scenic views.

Travelled on the Hyannis to Cape Cod canal coastal excursion train late season. In the dome car, bit cramped but the view over the trees is worth the extra money. Good commentary on outbound journey, then on the return the guide travels through the cars so you can ask here further questions. Well worth adding to the range of available... More

I took this rail trip years ago and enjoyed it. This year, I went with my sisters and was very disappointed. It seemed as though the trees obscured any possible view, but that's Mother Nature at work. We were seated close to a door leading to another car and every time someone came through that door, the door did not... More

The staff, train, narrator all excellent but most of the 2 hour trip is in between tall trees and vines which make it difficult to see the sites that are described on the route map.
