We visited the Mount Greylock State Reservation on the morning of July 16th. The Visitor’s Center at the bottom of the mountain provided good background information about the park, including about the plant and animal life on the reservation. The center had some interesting exhibits....More

The amazing Mt. Greylock State Reservation is less than a 1.5 hour drive from my home near Albany, NY. I only heard of it two weeks ago for the first time. Today we drove up to the summit before attending a performance at the Williamstown...More

We went for a nice motorcycle ride to Mt . Greylock. The views were breathtaking. Lots of parking-yet we did not park on top, again we were on the motorcycle and $5.00 per motorcycle seemed a bit silly. We stopped at the free viewing areas,...More

It is a nice drive to the top. It is a mountain so it has views. A little too crowded for me. Worth the trip just to say you did it.

Cloud level can be low enough to obscure the tower, as it was during our visit recently. We could see it, but as if through thick fog. The road to the summit may be closed in winter due to snow. Also, FYI: On our recent... More

It wasn't too far to go to the top. Luckily there was no traffic. Driving up was less than half hour. The only problem you might encounter is when the parking lot gets full. But cars pull out so wait might not be long... More
