The train is limited as far a travel, but the museum and the staff are great. The staff is willing and able to answer any question posed to them and if they don't have the answer they tell you and then try to find out the answer. This is worth a stop just to see the exhibit in the train... More

Too far for so little. Call make sure is not the reduced ride of 2 minutes. Too little for sich a pondrive. Such a piety. Because I do love old locomotives.

We stopped at the museum after Tanglewood. I was disappointed to find out that the Polar Express was not running this year. But the stop there was still well worth it. The trip through the yard was short but fun. And we spoke with Walt on the trip and I got a private tour with Bill. I learned alot of... More

If you look on the website you'll be disappointed to see that all train rides have been cancelled for 2012 season becauseThe BSRM does not own or control the tracks over which it operated train rides. Train rides were made possible through an agreement between the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the owner of the tracks, the Housatonic Railroad Company... More

This is a wonderful relaxing way to have a scenic tour and experience history at the same time. The trains are all real trains from the past that travel twenty miles from Lenox to Stockbridge, leaving and stopping from the original stations. You can purchase a coach pass with no frills, or go 1st class for a little more money,... More

Great ride for both kids and RR fans. Peaceful ride through the Berkshires from Lenox to Stockbridge.
