We bring our dogs here - probably their favorite place. Lots of others bring dogs, so lots of sniffing to see who's been visiting recently. Heaven on Earth for our two. Most dog owners are responsible and make sure the trails are clear. Some push...More

This is a beautiful setting with extensive trails to run in. I run here on a regular basis up to 8 to 10 miles without a road interruption. I feel lucky to live close to Boston with such incredible woods.

It's a lump in the Lincoln terrain, with rather steep but quite short trails. Beautiful forest but not much of a view from the top, A nice walk, though.

An acquaintance mentioned Mount Misery a few years back as a wonderful (and free) place to cross country ski. Trails are wide and plentiful with both flat and sloping terrain. The trails are marked although I could have used a decent trail map; the gps...More

This is a great place for dog walking, hikes with young children or just a solitary walk through the woods. Beautiful year round. Great for snowshoeing too. Easy to get to - right off Route 117. Trails are well tended.

The only problem are unleashed dogs who often take a nip at you. To avoid this potential problem stick to the trails marked leashed. The dog owners are pretty good about this. Otherwise a lovely place that can take you by trail all the way...More

We drive to Mount Misery from Wayland whenever we want to spend a few hours in the woods. With lots of access points, you can walk for 45 minutes to the top of 250 foot tall "Mount" Misery, or for an entire day if you...More

Mt Misery is a hill in Boston Metro West. Although not a "destination" hike, the conservation land of its location is laced with pleasant foot paths that are mostly on old woods roads (read wide, fairly smooth, good footing, and gentle grade). Views from the...More
