Sitting right on the Merrimack River waterfront, this park is a great place to watch the sun come up, take a stroll, or just relax for a while, on the boardwalk. It is basically and nice city park where people can come for a picnic,...More

Always lovely. It’s on the waterfront. So, it shines in Summer. It’s thought out, yet not effusive. It’s well maintained. It’s safe. It adds to Newburyport’s “charm” Great spot to sit and veg.

Always a great walk along the boardwalk -- or a great place to sit and take in the view. Pity the dirt parking lot behind it is so lame. Newburyport needs a modest sized hotel there to attract visitors|over night tourists, biz events, weddings, etc...which...More

Our walk along the riverfront on the scenic boardwalk was the perfect way to experience the Newburyport charm. Vacationers, locals walking their dogs, strolling pedestrians out to enjoy the marine life passing by, all add to the ambience as you gaze at picturesque Salisbury, across...More

Way way back, when this was a ship building town (and still a part of Newbury), someone had the foresight to construct a boardwalk along the shore, with uninterrupted views of the Merrimack River and the boats moored there. It still exists today, with plenty...More

Whether you're out on a stroll after a meal, viewing boats at the docks, or sitting on your blanket listening to a live band, you can't go wrong at Newburyport's waterfront park. It's family friendly, yet perfect to relax on a date night!

Located right on the Merrimac River, this park is the former working waterfront of the great clipper ships of yore. There are free concerts in the summer in this well landscaped and recently enlarged oasis. Great hometown park!

The best part of this park is it's proximity to the water. It is well manicured and kept beautifully. You can sit at the park and gaze at the water for hours on in. They have a great boardwalk with benches that overlook the water...More

There is public parking adjacent to the park as well as across the street and a short stroll away, and you will pay. It does tend to be busy on summer weekends, but usually there is enough parking.
