The Calvin Coolidge Presidential Library consists of a single, large room in the Forbes Library (the name of the Northampton public library). Although Coolidge was a native of Vermont he had a law practice in Northampton and spent much of his political career in Massachusetts...More

The Calvin Coolidge Presidential Library and Museum is on single room. There is a dearth of artifacts and the experience is somewhat disappointing. We've been to lots of the presidential libraries and this one is low on the what-to-see scale. Interesting, but lacking.

I am a huge Calvin Coolidge fan! Since a boy the allure of President Coolidge has been real. In March I discovered the Coolidge Museum at the Forbes Library in Northampton, Mass. It is free and totally informative.www.forbeslibrary.org. Julie Nelson is the Archivist.413-587-1014.

The Calvin Coolidge Library is small compared to more recent Presidential Libraries, but worth the visit. Be sure to check hours, as they are very limited. If you are there on a Saturday, you might also get a tour of the Forbes Library with the...More

Worth seeing if only to traverse the Forbes Library, what a public library with happy employees who genuinely like the readers who they help.
