Winslow Farm Animal Awareness is a non-profit charitable organization...

Winslow Farm Animal Awareness is a non-profit charitable organization devoted to the rescue and care of abandoned and mistreated animals. Established in 1996, Winslow Farm exists for one purpose: to provide love and care to the many animals without a home or for those that have been abused and/or neglected by their previous owners. A sanctuary where animals can learn to trust humans once again.

In the fall of 1997, Winslow Farm opened it's doors to the public as an animal farm, offering the public an opportunity to meet and interact with the 183 animals that live on the farm. In addition to an animal sanctuary, Winslow Farm offers a variety of animal-oriented activities, including birthday parties for children, pony rides, group educational tours, nature hikes and trails, as well as special events occurring during the holiday seasons. These activities serve to educate the public about neglected, abused, and abandoned animals, general animal care, and allows animals the exposure to a population of "good" humans that these animals can learn to trust.

Our Mission is to provide a high quality "stay-for-life" animal sanctuary, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of mistreated and abandoned animals, to promote the prevention of animal mistreatment through quality educational programs and events, and to advocate the preservation of wildlife habitat.

We came here as vegans...for us this was an emotional and touching experience. It was $10 per person for entry and we decided to bring donations as well. It is easy to find what donations are needed on their website. There is someone there to tell you about the animals (some can't be pet and none can be fed due... More

Ok, so I get and appreciate the whole "rescued animal thing" and maybe we went on a bad day but there wasn't much to see for the price we paid. I know the money goes toward the animals but I thought it was a bit much. The lady who runs it was doing some training with the horses who were... More

So hard to put into words how special this place is. We've known Debbie the owner/operator/creator for fifteen years and have witnessed her continued improvement and expansion of this animal haven/retreat/refuge! She just doesn't quit!! She's never "done" at the farm...just when another amazing addition for the animals and guests has been erected, she's onto the next!! I believe Debbie... More

After visiting Winslow farm I'm amazed that it is so close and we've never been before. It is an animal sanctuary for abused, neglected and abandoned animals. The animals are healthy and well cared for and most of them roam in large areas (not confined to pens or cages). You can get up close with alpacas, goats, horses, pigs, peacocks,... More

I have been visiting this little farm for 3yrs now and each time is different. Sometimes you are not allowed in certain areas of the farm and other times you are made to feel special when you are told you can visit in those areas. I have learned this is based on were their horse Winter is(she is dangerous) and... More

I love Winslow farm for the devotion they have to the animals. We had our sons 4 year old birthday at Winslow10 years ago. Everyone had a wonderful time. We still go to visit the animals or for a nature walk along the water. Winslow is a great place to enjoy the animals, nature and relaxing by the fire
