We love to drive along the national seashore at 5:30 or 6am. It is quiet and the views are spectacular. Race Point is a great place to end.

We went to the lighthouse for a tour on Mariners Day this past weekend and the site itself was a bore. I'd say skip it. The most interesting thing about the visit was the two-mile over-dune ride from the Race Point parking lot to the...More

This place does require a permit to park (from the Park Service). However, it does offer expansive beaches with very few people on them. We always enjoy spending an afternoon walking down this lovely part of Massachusetts.

If you go in summer, as the hundreds of parking places attest to, the place is undoubtedly filled to the gills with beach goers. However, off-season, you practically have the entire beach front to yourselves. Walk down from the visitor's center along the bike path,...More

This lighthouse is the northernmost on Cape Cod. It was first built in 1816. It had a Fresnel lens until is was automated in 1972. You can rent the keeper's house or the whistle house for vacation rentals.

To the beach it's a 2 minute walk or 100 yards... I hope it helped :-). If not look it up on Google maps :-)
