Go for the great views and a 1:2 scale model of the Rose Dorthea IN THE LIBRARY. Good place to cool off. Just make sure you shhhhhhhhhhh.

A beautiful building slap bang in the middle of town. Typical New England style. Great sculpture outside. Efficient staff and very spacious. Good selection of books.

If you don't visit the 2nd floor of this library to see the 1/2 full size schooner assembled there then you have missed out on one of the best attractions in town.
