Always an awesome mid-Commercial Street Stop

Be sure to check out the boat upstairs. Great kids area! We always stop here not just to cool off from a hot stroll down Commercial Street, and take out some books!

It was so much fun to see the ship, Rose Dorothea inside the museum. A half sized replica of the famous ship is built inside the museum on is over two stories high. Beautiful and was a highlight of our trip to Provincetown, MA.

Great historic building with a fantastic historic ship within that dominates the second and third floor. This exhibit with relevant text is a must .

Who would have suspected there would be a sailing ship inside a public library? I was, and couldn't get enough photos to prove the scale which was unimaginable.

The entire central part of the library is filled with a one-half scale model of a Grand Banks fishing schooner! Well worth popping in to see it.

Under the extremely able leadership of newly appointed Director Matt Clark, this library has flourished in the past couple of years. New programs are constantly being promoted there for the public benefit. For example, experts from fields like Coastal Studies recently held a 3 day Moby Dick reading, which involved over 100 local and foreign dignitaries reading a chapter each... More

One of the cutest and nicest libraries I've ever seen. Plus, did I mention there is a HUGE SHIP on the second floor? You've got to see if to believe it.

I'm not sure how I missed this building on a previous trip to P'town, but with everything else still closed up for the winter, this was a welcome chance to step inside from the wind and snow. I was only a day tripper, so didn't need to use any of the library facilities, although they looked great and well used... More

The library is beautiful inside and out. Pick up a brochure on the counter for a self tour. And there is a 12 minute video that you can watch to gain some historical information. There is ART work to enjoy and a SHIP.... oh yes .... A ship INSIDE the library The children's area is stocked with lots for the... More

Perfect for all ages, with areas set aside for youngsters (they need to accompany adults if adults are to use items). Some of the finest views in town, definitely the best kids place.
