Rockport is about the art! So why not take your time and enjoy the museums and art shoppes that are so popular here? You will be inspired! A quite little museum in the heart of Rockport.

Enjoyed learning and looking at the history of the area. My wife and I had a better time than the youngster, but he still enjoyed the visit.. Great spot to spend some time while passing through the area.

Once the closure for the Winter Shut-down in January & February is over, you will be able to visit a wonderful art association that shows both contemporary art by members and historic art from its collections. That is why Rockport Art Association added "& Museum" to its name recently, to emphasize the the depth of its holdings and the exhibits... More

We have found that seeking out the local ARTS Center has enhanced our explorations around NEW ENGLAND. When planning your visit to NE, check for a locally supported ART CENTER, where the work of Artists is supported and encouraged.

Amidst the quaint and lovely shops and galleries along Main Street, the Rockport Art Association and Museum showcases art from their permanent collections, as well as rotating exhibits of featured artists. Don't miss strolling through the back building - historic oil paintings by prominent local artists are magnificently framed and well displayed in a spacious, vaulted room. Most of the... More

When strolling on Main Street you will see the bright yellow building that houses the Rockport Art Association. When you enter you may think it's just a bottom floor of an old home converted into gallery space, but it's so much more than that. If you go out through the back door you will enter a tiny garden patio area... More

Exceptional artwork by the area's top artists. The paintings are a little pricey but well worth the investment. A must see!
