Sandwich glass was made here in mid - late 19th century, not because of the sand but because of the pine forest. The big takeaway wasn't the workmanship but that they went out of business due to the start of other places further west that...More

Watch glass blowing by an artist. Enjoy the many antique glass items on display. Reasonably priced gift shop. Video on the history of glass blowing in Sandwich was very enlightening.

The Museum is quite informative on the history of Sandwich glass. I learned a lot and enjoyed the museum. Takes about an hour. Includes a glass making demo and a couple other multimedia type displays.

The sandwich Glass Museum offers glass blowing demonstrations and many examples of blown and molded glass with descriptions. It was a worthwhile stop on our visit to Sandwich, MA.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The displays and their descriptions were beautiful and fascinating. The glassblowing demonstration was awesome, and Alex was not only informative but his personality was very entertaining and engaging. Lovely gift shop as well.

I visited about fifty years ago as a child but the things I remembered were still there. The collection is outstanding and the displays are beautiful. The glass blower of the day was knowledgeable and witty. Try it!!

Unless you are an avid glass collector this feels overpriced. Corning and Steuben are much better for the casual tourist. Took me 30 minutes to go through museum including the 15 minute film. I only gave it star because they do try hard
