The town’s people set on a mission to replace the boardwalk that was destroyed by Hurricane Bob in October 1991. They spent $1,700 on planks and people could have an inscription put on a board by making a donation to the maintenance fund. The current boardwalk is 1,350 feet long and has a railing only when it crosses over water.... More

The walk from the carpark across the boardwalk (over the salt march) is about 700 m long before you reach the beach where you can then remove your shoes and take a stroll up and down the beach. Greta spot for watching the local bird population and taking in the sea air and views.

We came here on a warm September's day for a lovely stroll. It's a beautiful spot, peaceful on the day we were here although I imagine it will be busy in the height of summer. It's very quaint, a little bit of vintage and it was nice reading all the engravings on the planks from when they've been restored. We... More

Not far from Sandwich center is this beautiful boardwalk which is the pride of the town. Follow it to see wildlife, birds, dunes and it leads you to the beautiful ocean. A must do in Sandwich

The boardwalk is naturally beautiful 12 months a year. It's narrow, so walk carefully if it's windy. Paid or permit parking in season but otherwise, you can drive right in. Perfect for photos.

Even tho I was freezing my you know what off, I wanted to see many parts of the Cape. This was a really nice area just to walk a think. It is a very nice place. I pretty sure It would be much better in the summer.

Visited with friends and was thrilled. Boardwalk is fantastic and recently repaired fro hurricane Sandy. Boardwalk makes easy walking to top of dunes.
