Great place for a hike.

Good views, lovely land..vernal pools etc. Lovely flora and fauna. Quite a few folks there when ever we're gone.Moderately challenging we think. No dogs even on a leash.

Visited here on a lovely late October day. The leaves were still lovely and the hike was well marked and a nice mix of shade and sun. The last bit of the hike is fairly steep but not too long and the view is worth the trip! If you want a bit more privacy it is probably worth going early... More

I have written about the High Ledges before, but it is one of my favorite spots in Western Mass. Apart from the trails and the spectacular view, it is usually never filled with other people. If you go during the week, you might not come across anyone. I try to visit at least once a month.

A lovely hike. Not hard, but so beautiful. Audubon acquired Dutch Barnard's retreat in the woods, perched on a rock overlook, in 1970...he proposed to his wife there. It is inspiring. You will see why. Lady Slippers in spring, leaves on fire in autumn. A bird's eye view of a magical spot.

Followed the signs to High Ledges and stayed on the main hiking path. A very pleasant walk on a late morning which only took about 15 minutes to reach the top. Took in the beautiful views while sitting on the stone ledge. Not a cloud in the sky on this day. There are other paths as well. Worth the trip!

The view at the top is AMAZING! You can see for miles and miles. It is truly breathtaking! The walk out is easy with some steeper parts but good for all ages. There were a ton of bugs and many horse flies, I wish we had brought bug spray but we didn't, but we now know for the next time!

The trip up to parking area is dramatic enough, and the walk itself is nicely varied without being too strenuous. I've never seen it all, in several trips, so it's worth repeated visits.

This was a great hike! You can either go quickly up the one mile wide path to the ledges and view or wind your way around the various trails in the area. The trails are all well marked and labeled, they go by wetlands, ledges, and through woods. It was slightly soggy, but had rained hard that morning. I enjoyed... More

I remember the wonderful panoramic view from the edge of the ledges. Breathtaking. My wife and I's fondest memory of the place however is being chased from the ledges to the bottom of the hill by a highly agitated and angrily vocal red squirrel who matched our every step with his arboreal brachiationss. We could not figure out what caused... More
