A fascinating history of lighthouses and the impact of erosion on the beaches of Nantucket. A beautiful destination for your bike ride from Nantucket city. Loved watching the seals play in the ocean from the view above at the lighthouse

This lighthouse was a stop on a tour my wife and I went on. Great views atop a cliff of Atlantic Ocean and Sankaty Golf Course.

The lighthouse was our first stop when we arrived on Nantucket. We drove through the town of beach cottages. (In summer these are the rose covered cottages.) The lighthouse was not as tall as we expected, but was recently painted. It overlooks the bluffs and...More

It was great to see a working lighthouse. It's is a wonderful example of what it was before it was moved due to erosion of the soil. Some limited hiking trails along the shore, parking is very limited. A nice piece of history.
