After visiting the Optical Heritage Museum, I worked my way over to see this related monument. It’s a piece of folk art that pays tribute to Southbridge’s optical industry history.
I would have liked to see a larger monument. But, it’s worth a look.

The truth is It is a hotel, today. and, there is no exhibit of such history, other than a single page "redevelopment" aspect of this local historical factory in the guest room binder. Or, if there is, the staff did a poor job not letting...More
The history of Southbridge is incomplete without American Optical...generations of families started realtionships and carrers here....nice Pop Art take to honor it! If you get the "frames" righ for the photo, you get the glasses and the tower.
