I saw two productions at the Williamstown Theatre Festival: An American Daughter and The Rose Tattoo. Both were excellent. In the lobby of the theatre, there are photos from past productions going back over sixty summers; it’s fun to see how many famous faces you...More

Summer Stock in Williamstown used be HOT. Richard Chamberlain., Blythe Danner and their ilk were the talk of the town in the former building. It had class and mystique. Many moons have passed since there has been a real "Broadway-type' of performance. This theatre is...More

With two venues in one modern building, this great troupe of actors provides Bway-worthy performances. We saw a Wendy Wasserstein play, An American Daughter, and enjoyed it thoroughly. One caveat: arrive early because parking on site is limited to a two-deck garage. On sellout nights,...More

My wife and I saw a revival of Wendy Wasserstein's "An American Daughter" here. The production was excellent, but one visit is not enough for me vouch for how consistent the quality is. What I can say is that the theatre is modern, well-kept, and...More

We gorged on two performances in two days. Wendy Wasserstein revival of 'An American Daughter' was masterful and seemed not to have aged in the 20 years since it laid out the problems of a woman being taken seriously and still being a woman. But...More

Our first time in Williamstown and it is a lovely college town. The theatre is first class in its quality and the performance we saw was most enjoyable.

Very good location for plays. Very cold air conditioning. Romance Novels for Dummies was not good. See another choice.

We saw two terrific shows with top notch acting. Celebrity sightings both in the shows and at the local restaurants. Good dining options but not much else to do in town. Great weekend trip with family or friends.

The Main Stage theater can seat about 500. Some seats can be added or removed for certain perfomances. Nikos stage can seat almost 200.
