While visiting friends they took me to Woods Hole which houses the Marine Biological Lab. I enjoyed strolling around and seeing a marine lab ship. The drawbridge is open for every boat coming through, no matter what size.

Hello Bassguy19: I believe Capt. Ballard is the director of the Centre for Marine Exploration at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. I would suggest contacting them with all your questions.
