Location holds an exceptional oceanside graduate school for study of the sea and the biological and physical sciences related to it. Reminded me of CalTech in its emphasis on graduate study and the observable numbers of visiting fellows from around the world. A good place to see if one is visiting the Cape. That said, actual tour is not scientifically... More

There is an info office which was a little pointless then across the street there was a visitors center. We walked in here and were treated to two gentlemen, who I took to be... More

Had a great tour of this facility and learned about the way research can be carried out in the depths of the sea. Interesting film and museum.

I've always wanted to see this place. Off season one can only see the visitor center which has a nice exhibit of the submersible Alvin finding the Titanic wreck. We also enjoyed the movie, dated as it was. It takes about an hour or less to see the exhibits. In the summer there are tours but we didn't have the... More

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution visitor center is a small exhibit space over two levels. At the lower level you can start with a movie and learn about the Alvin deep sea submersible. Upstairs there are several interesting exhibits about the Titanic, the Discovery Channel "Shark Cam" and more. It won't take long to check this out, but it is... More
