Institute Park is lovely to look at, but it is just grass, trees and a lake which haven't been taken good care of. There are no paths through the park or along the lake and the lake seems to be filling in with reeds. There are nice views, but not much more.

I did not miss to walk through this small park while on my short visit to Worcester last week..... It is particularly beautiful in the Fall, with all its colors around. Lots of squirrels. There was no one in the park, but it was just because of the break in universities. Otherwise, I imagine how crowded it can be! I... More

Now that a path has been paved, it is a lovely place to work around the pond! Whenever I go, I look for the swans - there is often a couple swimming around the pond. Many events are held there also - but I prefer going when it's quiet.

Institute Park is great for a walk through, picnic, gathering for Frisbee or other recreational games. They also have the Fathers Day outing every June which is nice, weather permitting. The park is across from WPI with parking all around.

I really like this park and it is frequently busy with the college nearby. Have had many nice walks and had fun watching the swan guard its territory and scare away enemy ducks.

Lovely natural park with a pond and trees, tennis courts and walking paths. Across from Northworks and the American Antiquarian Society--best place to find wild swans and other waterfowl.

this park is home to an outdoor concert setting and to tennis courts. It is also a great place to walk or sit and look at the pond. It is like a sanctuary in the area of the city that is alive with residents and college students.

It's an ok park. not much to see here. If you want to have a quiet time to yourself, a walk, picnic, this is the place.

City of Worcester has been working on improvements for past year and it shows; still some areas to address (e.g., tennis courts, no kid-friendly space, no public lavatories, gazebos need attention; nice place to eat lunch and watch the birds

Many improvements made to the park over the last year including new bandshell. We visit the park often in nice weather - enjoying free concerts in the summer & the African American festival each June. There's always something going on at Institute Park. Last summer I did notice quite a few areas on the lawn where grass was sparse &... More
