Whether you visit during the holidays, when the house is specially decorated, or at another time, this house is worth the time. The guide we had was excellent; she knew all the history of the house and the Salisbury family and made the house come alive for us.

I had friends visit from Maryland who couldn't believe how great the collection at the Worcester Art Museum was for a city the size of Worcester. It was only when I went on a tour of this mansion that I learned that Stephen Salisbury donated money to the museum and many other institutions in Worcester. I loved it when I... More

My sister and I went to a tea party here and it was fun, they showed us around the house and told of the history, what a unique place in the middle of the city. The tea was nice too

Our visit began with a knock on the door, as it was locked and there is only one person staffing this mansion. We received a personalized tour, though we were ultimately joined by two more history buffs toward the end of the tour. This meant that our guide had to excuse himself for a few minutes, unlock the door to... More

We visited this home for the first time today. They have a display of 24 Christmas trees all decorated in a totally unique theme. I have never seen a display like this! It must have taken thousands of hours to produce this beautiful display. We will be returning for the candlelight tour as well. Just fantastic!

This is one beautiful historical home. It's absolutely gorgeous. If kept it up so nicely it's really worth a stop just to see it from the outside let alone to try to see the inside too.

I love looking at stately mansions. This house sits on the top of a hill basically across the street from the Worcester Art Museum. Apparently, it was moved to it's current location in 1929 because the town thought it's original location too valuable to be inhabited my this house. This house was originally part general store and part residence. Eventually,... More
