I ended up going to the museum on a whim and it was amazing. It has a lot of great collections and is organized in a very effective way. I worked my way from the top down and was able to see a lot that way. This is one of the better museums I have seen in quite a while.

Worcester has one of the finest art museums of its size in the country. Period. The city should be very proud, especially now that the collection from the former Higgins Armory has been merged with the Art Museum. Visitors can see a complete range of works ranging from the ancient to the modern. Beautiful galleries and a stunning entry on... More

An unusually good city art museum, both in terms of variety and depth of collection. Many big-name European and American artists are represented, but they are not the real draw. There's much more. How nice it was to view works of art without crowds of other tourists! We took about 2 hours and saw most of the museum. This was... More

As a New Yorker who has lived in Boston for decades, I cannot believe I just got to the Worcester Art Museum. The collection is first-rate, the space very well designed, and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. It is worth a special trip. I will return with friends to share the experience.

Our local museum is just the right size and has great and changing exhibits. We just entertained a friend from Boston who enjoyed the museum very much. I wish only that the cafe was open on the weekends.

I love the museum. I've taken painting classes at their art school. Sue Dion is a great painting teacher.

On a sunny day or a rainy day, the Worcester Art Museum is the perfect place to visit by yourself or with friends. Since our first visit on a sunny day in September when we saw all the inside exhibits and enjoyed the outside garden and sculptures, this wonderful art museum has been our top choice for taking guests who... I was a student in Worcester, and the WAM offers free admission to college students which was amazing! I loved going there because it is all stone, with different art forms everywhere! They have a wonderful cafe that looks out to their green area which was really quite good. The parking is a little bit of a pain but doable.... More

This museum has a great collection of both American and European art (including some great French impressionists). There is also a incredible tile floor from the Roman era and that alone is worth a visit. Please to spend a couple of hours.
