I took my youngest son and we read through and toured this museum. It was supremely enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the experience of being able to both board and walk around the "Bob" fishing vessel that was dry-docked. This is a compulsory stop on your...More

We loved the outside of the marine museum, very theme oriented to being an old marine museum. It is an authentic net shed from 1906. It is pretty small, but the outside deck at the back of the museum provides a bench, with great views...More

Looking for a little entertainment to pass the time on a rainy day... and this little gem of a museum did the job! It's free admission, although donations are much appreciated... so you simply can't go astray by wandering in for a time or longer....More

Small but nice Maritime museum with good & interesting histories of all Islands in the Beaver Island archipelago. Artifacts, old boats, boat making, settler history, books for sale, etc. Donation only. Worth spending time at.

Anything I say here will not do it justice. Small and easy to follow undirected more fun if the curator joins you. Please leave a lil something in the jar! It is well worth the visit!

A small museum, mainly pictures and a few artifacts from the days Beaver Island had a huge fishing business. Friendly volunteer managing the desk.

a rebuilt boat motor is the highlight of the museum. The are photos most of the ferries used to get to the main land. Note that the lake is frozen from about Jan to April, so stories are told about attempts to get around in...More

Interesting information, you can go on a old fishing boat on the side doesn't take long to go through. They have a life boat from the Bradley but, someone painted it gray so it looks like a replica now.
