Beautiful park close by if you're in Detroit area. Good amount of picnic and camping sites. There were few fishing areas in Huron River, a golf course and a water slide amusement facility as well. I went there for photography, I found few nice scenic spots along the river and some wild life. They have some good biking/hiking trails as... More

Variety, beauty. Fun on the water and in the water. We lived in Belleville for year after moving out of the UP and needed a wilderness fix. This was pretty good if you explore it a bit and take the longer river trip in your canoe or kayak.

Great biking/running/walking trails in a safe, clean environment. The trails connect with two other Metroparks, Oakwoods & Willow, and the restrooms are clean and well maintained.

This park has been a huge part of my childhood and now I bring my grandkids here! Fantastic walking and bike riding trails that are paved. A beautiful bridge to walk on while overlooking the river, fishing on the river, par 3 golf, nature trails, Turtle Cove water park and so much more. Playgrounds and restrooms.

Beautiful park with walking/biking trails. Plenty of picnic areas and playscapes. My family and I always have a blast at the water park.

Nice Park, Due to a lack of Funds, they don't always keep the grass cut near Picnic Area. Fail to pick up trash at Picnic sites that you have to pay for.

Wanted to camp close to home so that our son's family could be close to home in case things didn't work out with our granddaughter who is 20 months. We never considered camping here until this popped up and we were all off over the 4th of July weekend. We gave up camping on holiday weekends several years ago due... More

I get a yearly pass for $35. The daily fee is $10. Lower Huron metro park is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system mostly west of Detroit. I use this park because I'm close to it. It has a water park but there is a charge for that. The park is nice for walkers or bicyclists but not much else.... More

Many tress, you can have a family picnic or a large group for picnics. Don't have to be right next to someone's gatherings . Room for activities for your group and still have enough room to relax. There's a stream in some of the park picnic areas that kids or adults can wade in and the current is not strong.... More
