I enjoyed Blackjack very much, as did our entire group. 2017 has been tough on the area with lack of snow, but we had a great time because of the great staff and service, on and off the mountain. We ended up at Blackjack as Indianhead was just too icy after the rain and warm weather previous weekend. Conditions were... More

I went with my family of 2 adults and teenagers, ages 13 & 15. The kids and husband are great skiers but me, not so much. The day we went was a picture perfect day for skiing: 30 degrees, clear blue sky. It was only my 4th day skiing EVER, (I'm 41), so I am not to judge the hills... More

We visited all the major Ski areas and picked Blackjack Ski Area to stretch our legs out on a slopes. This was a excellent experience from the choosing our Ski package... More

Blackjack is similar to the other ski areas in the area - though the runs are a little shorter and the blacks aren't quite as steep. Crowds were pretty light on a Saturday in early March. We never waited more than a couple groups for the chairlift. And typically there was no wait. Lots of seating in the cafeteria for... More

We have been here with our family and also our friends. This is a great place in the Midwest for our ski destination with either your family or your friends. Hills are varied for all types of Midwestern skiers.

We have been traveling to the UP to ski at Blackjack for many years We love the terrain, especially the decent pitch for those who love some speed. Our kids also love it and they have been skiing there since they were very young. We love to take a break in the bar, great drinks, food, and service. Only drawbacks:... More

Have skied here a number of times and always enjoy it. This skied the first and last weekend of January. Snow/conditions were never better. New groomer does an incredible job. Only negative was the restaurant in the lodge. Stopped there at 6 p.m. and they were no longer serving a full menu. Could only get pizza or fried foods. When... More

I went to Blackjack for the first time this past weekend. I thought the runs were great, not a lot of really challenging runs, but the blacks were fun, and the blues were nice as well. The grooming was better than two other ski hills we were at that weekend as well. I liked the layout of the runs...I like... More

Nice lodge with plenty of TVs and exceptional fish tacos in the restaurant!! The snow quality was amazing on our visit but we were expecting longer trails like Indianhead. Not a major issue except lifts as in the area are all old school and slow and there are no high speed quads to allow less time in the chair. If... More

We skied Blackjack for one vacation and haven't returned. For us, the biggest drawbacks were the inconsistent runs. Something that started Blue ended up Black (leaving me black and blue, when I wiped out). This was true of so many runs, though. Greens end in Blue as well, but they are not labeled that way. In short, skiers find out... More
