A must see with all ages.

Loved this!!! Great mineral and rock collection. Kids had a blast and enjoyed so many of the displays. Worth the visit.

A nice exhibit of replicas. Egypt is no longer loaning most of their artifacts so replicas have been constructed for traveling exhibits. All pieces can be seen in about two hours.

We are a relatively new family in town. Bought membership to enjoy bats and planetarium year round. Also excited to use reciprocal membership at Chicago museums! Layout is a bit confusing but looking forward to visiting when it warms up and grounds come to life.

Went there for the King Tut exhibit and enjoyed seeing all the items on display. Really liked the photos showing how haphazard the items were placed in the tombs. Reminded me of my garage. Asked a docent about some items and she shared how they were used for storing food for the afterlife. Thought the death rituals and their history... More

Cranbrook is just a lovely place to visit. Spent a great afternoon at the science center with a friend and plan to return to check out the art museum. A nice place to spend an afternoon either with friends or alone.

Just enough to give you a lot of information about the King and Egyptian history. Worth going to see. My complaint is: Why are all the descriptive signs down low? Bending as I walk through the exhibit to read signs is holding people up. Sign should be higher then people can read over the heads of others.Plus a few of... More

A nice museum close to home. The museum has many interactive exhibits to keep your kids engaged. For those on a budget, one Friday evening a month has free admission (check their web site for details). Special exhibits cost extra but are usually interesting.

I met a friend here with our 2nd graders and it was just okay. Granted, we didn't get to see the Native American section (boys were done by this time), but even so... Perhaps I just didn't know what to expect. The boys enjoyed the segment on the earth, and of course loved the ball gravity display. But it just... More

Cranbrook is a great place to visit for curious minds. We visited the Science Museum as well as the Bat Zone nature conservancy. The Science Museum had plenty of cool things to keep our attention, from history to modern marvels. Our favorite attraction though was the Bat Zone. Seeing bats in real life and learning and understanding everything there is... More

We have been here several times with my daughters 8 and 5 years old. They LOVE it and we do too! They do amazing things like paint with maggots and hold giant cockroaches from Madagascar- when else will you get a chance to do that. The BAT exhibit is amazing and we recently saw the Shark exhibit. They kids LOVED... More
