Avalanche is a bit off the normal track for Boyne City. It is however worth finding off of Division. The hiking trails are nice. Get to the top and enjoy a fantastic view of Lake Charlevoix. Good way to get some exercise.

This State Park is open year round but is great in the summer. Great beach, campground, nature trails and boat launch. In the winter it features snow shoeing trails. and cross country skiing.

This preserve offers a year round opportunity for families and individuals to explore the beautiful are of Boyne City. In the winter they have ice skating with free skates to use. There is a disc golf course and an awesome new fat tire bike course.

We went there with our kids and went sledding and ice skating. It was a great time. Went back at night, the shed was open and the workers were very helpful.

This is a good hike. There are steps and a handrail to help in your climb to the top. It is particularly beautiful in the fall
