We came after Sept 1 so dogs were allowed on the beach. Beautiful view of the mighty mac and 2 lighthouses. Also saw two freighters go by. Relaxing and had the beach almost to ourselves.

fall fest is all about kids/grandkids weekend ..... games, pumkins carving , trickor treat ,custom contest, hay ride,hunted trail ... i do miss the past a dish dinner on sat... but it still a blast

Great place to camp especially new area- I had site E right on the water! Close to bike to bridge for Labor Day activities-has camp store w great coffee & homemade donuts . Would stay here over Strights state Park

Not sure about the swimming. We didn't go in the water. MOST of the shoreline in that area is pretty rocky. It was not far from the campsites we saw though. Water is likely pretty cold even in August.
