Shepherd's Hollow has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Public Golf Club's in the United States by Golf Digest. Set on more than 350 rolling acres, at one of the highest elevations in Oakland County, Shepherd's Hollow is among the most unique golfing experiences in the state of Michigan. 27 Holes tucked into a towering forest of pine and oak offers the golfer a natural setting that provides a sense of tranquility. Shepherd's Hollow is a true destination course.

The golf is only part of the story. Our secluded club house offers beautiful surroundings with complete dining facilities. Our relaxing open air veranda and pine covered terrace allow each diner to enjoy the splendor of nature with a wide variety of expertly prepared culinary delights. We think you'll agree that dinner here is more than a meal, it's a unique dining experience.

The original 18 holes at this golf course (1-18) are my favorite 18 holes in Michigan. I've played here more times than I can count and have never been disappointed whether it was in April, July, or October. The fairways play soft but don't get fooled, the greens can play hard depending on the time of the year. It's a... More

Golf course is beautiful and challenging. The restaurant is very good and no one is ever there. Can have breakfast in the summer there. Sit out in the pretty patio and feel like you're all alone. Very underused. Good for dinner also. Beautiful setting.

This was the best of the three courses we played. The course has three 9's each of which offers its own challenges. It's unfortunate a picture really can't show an elevation change but this is a par 3. 228 yards from the tips with a drop of over 75 feet. And no we played a more forward tee The starter... More

2 hours to play 6 holes so we left. Also, rocks in the bunkers. would have been a 6 plus hour round if we stuck it out. No thanks

The clubhouse is quite attractive and the food (reuben sandwich) was tasty. I am not looking for over the top service but I did have to put my own clubs on a cart after they sat at the bag drop for 10 minutes. The course has many undulations and slopes. Almost seems a little overdone with the slopes, almost. The... More

Tough course, abundant deep bunkers. Scenic view. Rough just long enough to make it a challenge to find your ball. No carts within a 100 yards of the greens. Cart path on only one side of the hole can slow play is your ball location is opposite the path. Very challenging for anyone esp. high handicappers. Will go back !

I got a chance to play Shepherd's Hollow last week and it was tremendous. The plantation style clubhouse sets the mark for a very welcoming golf experience. The staff was very friendly and the starter was helpful. The greens at the course were excellent with consistent speed and very few ball marks for a public play course. The course is... More

I have golfed Shepard's Hollow twice and it's the nicest course in the area. The greens are fair and there are plenty of sand traps and hazards on the course to make it challenging. The pro shop staff was very friendly.

This is one of the most beautiful golf courses that I have had the pleasure to play. We live in Canada but find the three hour trip to access this course is well worth it. We purchased a Stay and Play package that enabled us to play this course as well as another and stay at a local Marriott hotel.... More
