Greektown is a fun, not to be missed section of downtown Detroit. Excellent food at any of the Mediterranean restaurants and a fine place to pick up a gift.

We go to the New Parthenon every birthday & Christmas. We've been going downtown since I moved up here in 1975. It's a lot different now then it was back then. Now there's a Walburgers & bar-be-cue rib shack. Not all that Greek anymore.

Ate at the Old Parthenon. Re-heated Greek food. Yum, not. Glad I didn’t get sick. Plus our server wasn’t the most friendly. This is not the Greektown you may have remembered. Not planning a return trip anytime soon.

Greektown is actually about a 28 minute walk from the MGM. You can shave off several minutes by getting on the People Mover (Times Square stop is the closest to the MGM). The People Mover drops you off at the Greektown exit... More
