The first thing you see when you get to the riverfront. Towers over all of the other buildings. Glass panels surround the towers. General Motors moved their HQ there about 10 yrs ago. Still a magnificent structure with a rich history of superstars staying in the Westin hotel over the years.

I do freelance work here, and visit at least once a month. The views from offices and restaurants are great; there is one decent restaurant, the Granite City. The inside of the RenCen is ugly and is remarkable for the quantity of wasted space it contains.

I like how they have opened new stores, new restaurants and how it's used for the community and business

Even if you're just visiting to walk around the area, you have to go inside the Renaissance Center to see a great example of modern architecture. Plus there's plenty of shops open all week if you want to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat.

This place is huge. It took me a good day to orient myself around the place. Lots of curves and escalators in many different directions. The architecture is very grand on the outside and a unique design on the inside. There are many food options. We went there on the weekend and there are not too places open long hrs... More

We had no idea what to expect with these buildings - you can see them from all around, and it was a lot of fun exploring the area in and around these buildings. Cars located inside the building, food courts, Starbucks, hotels - it was quite the set up. We parked or car in the garage here, and it was... More

The building is stunning, but we came to dine and would like to return to see more of the building, but we had time constraints. It has some soaring architecture. I think daytime would be best.

The seven towers of the Detroit Ren Cen are a somewhat self contained center that hosts a number of shows, while employing a large number of Detroit's and the suburb;s finest people. The tallest center tower is a hotel with a restaurant on the upper two floors. That restaurant just announced that it is changing hands, so we will need... More
