If in Windsor take the tunnel bus to downtown Detroit...absolutely perfect for going to a Tiger game...or Lion game. $10 return. Drops you off 5 minutes from stadiums.

Caught the bus at the Detroit entrance to the tunnel. Only $5. Quick trip through the tunnel and easy access to Windsor via Canadian Customs. Must have passport. Return trip later just as convenient. Both bus drivers friendly and helpful.

Our cruise ship was docked on the Windsor, Ontario side of the river, and so we had to go through the tunnel twice for our visits to Detroit. The tunnel is clean and light -- the only real issue is that you have to stop...More

This is a $5.00 bus ride to and from Canada via the under the river tunnel. Pick up the bus in Detroit at various stops, definitely a bus stop just before the toll booths that is glass enclosed. Return from where they drop you off....More

Back when I was little, my aunt and uncle lived in the outskirts of Windsor, and when we went to Detroit, we would go visit them, while we were there. The tunnel is the way we always went. It is my preferred border crossing, to...More

It's a tunnel. It gets you from one country to the other fairly efficiently. It's under the river. An alternative to the bridge.

Definitely a trip . . . from Detroit to Windsor, CANADA! You must have a passport to try it, but it's the best ride you'll find anywhere along the U.S. Canada border.

Conveniently located in the core of the downtown areas of Detroit and Windsor. Tolls are less than the Bridge. Customer service was efficient and they take cash as well as electronic payments. The tunnel is still the world's only sub aqueous international vehicular tunnel.

I cross the border of Windsor-Detroit often. The traffic is unpredictable and the wait can be long. The staff on the road are always very customer friendly while directing traffic and taking tolls. This is one of the busiest borders crossings in the world and...More

I don't see why not, buses go through many times a day. Now, do be aware that you will have to go through the Canadian checkpoint - you may be asked many more questions and require additional paperwork.

Allow plenty of time and be sure you have passports in order. If you get pulled over for inspection it will take even longer. Have a great time!

Best of my knowledge, no. Tunnel Bus will take you / drop you off at the Cobo Center. Casino possibilities - Motor City Casino or the Greektown Casino - can be reached by a short taxi ride.
