MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream.

This is a very large but manageable campus for a variety of experiences-- from farms to a high end nuclear fission facility and everything in between including great sport venues. Also, it is one of the most beautiful campuses I have had the pleasure of visiting.

The campus has lots of great gardens and nice trail along the river. Nice place to walk in all seasons. If raining take a stroll through the museum, which is in the center of campus.

I may be an alumni, but I think the campus at MSU is one of the most beautiful in the country! Take a walk along the Red Cedar and enjoy the scenery.

Very lovely campus with so many beautiful trees and such easy walking that you can wander for hours and visit the gardens, walk over the Red Cedar River and admire the pretty old and new architecture. Land grant colleges are special as they are small communities themselves and MSU is uniquely large yet intimate. Campus is welcoming, professors inspiring, students... More

This place may not be on the radar of places to eat, but my family and kids always love to eat here. It's open to the public and I believe is about $10, maybe $12 pp for all you can eat! There are many stations similar to a mall cafe area, but the food is all top notch made by... More

One of the prettiest large campuses in the country. Very large land-grant University with a massive, fine dormitory system (dorms were built and are run without state monetary support and professional, multi-choice meals). Many dorms have classrooms included and most have male and female wings. Large number of classroom buildings focused on specific areas of study. Huge agricultural study area... More

Michigan State University's East Lansing campus occupies approximately 5000 acres. The northernmost portion of the site which is the center of the academic and residence communities is impressively landscaped and contains many impressive buildings & athletic structures. A visit during the fall foliage season is particularly recommended.
