Small but beautiful. Great place to take photos of turtles, butterflies, and nature. Just walk, sit, and enjoy!

This preserve located on the east side of Grand Rapids provides an excellent nature experience. The wooded trails go through a variety of ecosystem types including streams, woods, ponds, wetlands, etc. A nice walk for a break or a more leisurely stroll.

Who would believe...a serious nature preserve...within the city? This Calvin College nature preserve has wonderful trails, excellent species variety, and an impressive facility for nature education. Also there are several programs providing exposure to flora and fauna within the preserve.

We, our family, love this place ! If you are zipping along the East Beltline, you may miss it but it's an awesome Natural get-away ! It is a great place for an enjoyable, reflective walk in Nature, seemingly in the heart of Suburbia !...More

A great way to spend a quiet hour or so. Lovely trees, saw a couple of snapping turtles in the pond from the lookout - great place to just listen to the birds.
