We had missed opportunities in the past to experience this restored Frank Lloyd Wright house and now that we've seen it wished we had done so sooner. The unique aspect of this home restoration was that it was privately purchased and renovated by the Steelcase...More

This house was beautifully restored to the way FLW envisioned. Start with a short film about the history of the home, and take a well informed, guided tour inside. And the best.... it's all free! We loved it.

If you are a Wright fan, fan of architecture or none of the above you will enjoy this tour. It's free on Tuesdays and well worth an hour or two of your time. Don't miss the introductory film before the tour.

Appreciation to the good people of Steelcase for opening their pocketbooks 30 years ago without reservation to restore this Frank Lloyd Wright original, and for maintaining free access to visit. You are to be commended. The film preceding the tour was very interesting, but a...More

When I first visited the Meyer May House, it was broken up into shabby apartments and a complete mess. It was in disrepair and rather heartbreaking. Soon after, Steelcase purchased the house and it has been so lovingly restored. It's worth a day trip to...More

Go here. It's a great, restored Frank Lloyd Wright house in an upscale neighbourhood. The house was completely restored in the 1980s to its original character, complete with original or reconstructed furniture. Beautiful!! It is a must stop in the Grand Rapids area. The tour...More
